Roles

Each todo4teams user can be assigned different roles - some with additional sub-authorizations:

  1. Agent/User - the implicit role: Every user in todo4teams is automatically an "agent" and can create and edit tickets.
  2. Supervisor: Supervisors have further authorizations to manage their teams and for controlling:
    1. Assigning tickets: Supervisors can assign tickets to users in the inbox: The ticket then changes to the status 'accepted' without any action from the selected user and they are assigned as processor.
    2. Delete Tickets in Inbox: Supervisors can remove tickets from the inbox list by deleting them. There will then be no processing. The ticket can no longer be found in the archive search and is also not taken into account in the statistics.
    3. Forward:  This allows a supervisor to redirect a ticket to another team or user. The ticket remains in the "open" status and has an addition in the description text with information about the forwarding action and the team originally addressed.
    4. Service Level: Supervisors have access to their teams' service level measurement.
    5. Ticket route: This allows the supervisor to display the entire history of all actions for a ticket, including possible rejections, forwardings, etc. This function is helpful when searching for the cause of late completion.
  3. Administrator: With this role, the user has permission to make certain configurations (see selection in the image). The administrator then only has access to the selected areas.
In the user management, he does not have the option to assign or revoke the "Superadmin" role to himself or others.
    1. Users (including team assignment, password assignment, etc.)
    2. Teams (including members and permissions, scripts)
    3. Mailboxes

  5. Superadmin: The Superadmin has unrestricted access to all configuration areas. As a superadmin, you can assign the “Admin” or “Superadmin” role to other users.

The two administrator roles require a very in-depth understanding of how todo4teams works. Incorrect settings can severely limit the usability of the system.

The supervisor role and the administrator roles do not build on each other. i.e. that a supervisor can carry out activities that an administrator cannot, and vice versa.
