General Remarks on Integrating Knowledge Bases


todo4teams allows to integrate your corporate knowledge database to quickly accept prepared answers.

Up to now  you might integrate the following knowledge databases:

  • Wikipedia - or any other installation of  MediaWiki which is the underlying software system
  • XWiki - the open source enterprise wiki

To enable the access on one of these wikis please create a new system property as shown here (for MediaWiki) or here (for XWiki).

After that You will see a text field shown above the description field when creating new tickets or writing email responses:

Enter one or more keywords to search for matching entries in your knowledge base and press  the 'Enter' key:

A list of titles of documents found will show up. Select an entry an press 'Enter'  again. The selected article is fetched from the knowledge base an inserted into the text area.

You might edit or shorten it according to your needs.
