Every user of todo4teams has the option to log in to different roles in the system if he has the necessary permissions . The three roles that can be selected in the login window are:

1. Agent
2. Supervisor
3. Administrator
4. Superadmin

Registration as an Agent provides the basic functionality that all three roles have available. It is the most common role and allows the necessary steps to create and edit Todos.

The role of the supervisor allows in addition to all functionalities of the agent the forwarding, assigning and deleting of Todos. Additionally the supervisor does not count at the display of available users per group.

The Superadmin has full access to the system. He can perform any task and appoint others to Superadmins.

The main task of the Administrator is the care of the todo4teams system. The Superadmin can provide an administrator access to the following areas of administration:

1. Users
2. Divisions
3. Groups
4. E-Mail
5. SMS
6. Systems
7. Forms
8. Server Settings
9. Text Modules

The two administrator authority roles require a very deep understanding of the functionality of todo4teams. Incorrect settings can severely limit the usability of the system.

The role of the supervisor and the administrator role do not build on each other. For instance one supervisor can perform activities which are not possible for an administrator and vice versa.
