Administration

Foreword for Administrators

This part of the manual is aimed at users with administration rights. These users are endowed with extensive powers. Incorrect operation in the administration can lead to todo4teams no longer functioning in the desired manner. That is why a careful and considered approach to administration is essential.

The following subject areas are managed in administration

  • Users
  • Teams
  • Script Scheduling
  • Script Search
  • Script Logging
  • Mailboxes
  • Systems
  • Messaging
  • Forms
  • Textblocks
  • Experts
  • Databases
  • System Properties
  • Label
  • Control center
  • Logging
  • Monitoring
  • License management

Each of these subject areas is represented by its own menu item. All menu items that directly enable the management of central business objects offer the following functions:

  • New XX
  • Refresh
  • Save
  • Copy
  • Delete

The “Copy” button creates a copy of the respective business object (e.g. a user). The copied business object has the same properties as the original and can then be modified. For example, if you want to create a user who is very similar to an existing user in terms of permissions and affiliations, you can create a copy of this existing user. Then you change the permissions and affiliations and save the new user under your own name. The procedure for all other business objects is the same.

If several administrators are logged on to the system at the same time, the current data can be loaded from the database using the “Update” button, i.e. the changes made by the other administrators also become visible. This should not be the norm because a well-administered system only has a very limited number of administrators.

Starting the administration

If you have the Administrator or Super Administrator role, the administration menu items will be visible on the left side (or by clicking on the hamburger menu). The super administrator can see all menu items without exception. Administrators see the menu items for which they have permission:
