Administration
Foreword for Administrators
This part of the manual is for users with administrator rights. These users are equipped with extensive powers. Faulty operation in the administration may cause that todo4teams no longer works in the desired manner. Therefore in the administration a careful and considered approach is essential.
The following topics are managed in the Administration:
- Users
- Departments
- Groups
- SMS
- Systems
- Forms
- Server Settings
- Text Modules
Each of these topics is represented by its own tab. In each tab you can perform the following operations, represented by the respective button:
- Create
- Edit
- Delete
- Copy
- Refresh
The button "Copy" creates a copy of the relevant business object (eg a user). The copied business object has the same properties as the original and can then be modified. If you want for example to create a user that is very similar to a pre-existing user concerning his permissions and affiliations, you can create a copy of the existing user. Then you change the permissions and memberships and store the new user under a different name. With all other business objects the procedure is analogously.
If multiple administrators are simultaneously logged-in to the system, you can use the "Refresh" button to load the current dataset from the database, ie also the changes of the other administrators are visible. This should not be the norm, since a well-administrated system has only a very limited number of administrators.
Start Administrating
After the start a small login dialog opens. Enter your login name and password, select the role "Administrator" or Super Admin and click on "Login".
After successful log-in you will see the additional administrative tabs: users, departments, groups, e-mail, SMS, systems, forms and server settings.
In the course you will be guided through the various aspects of administration.
